If you're doing this, it's very important to check the readme file that came with the file, because it'll tell you what versions of PN or USR support reading .DAT files. It may take some time for you to figure out how to get PN_AO.EXE running off an old .DAT file, so don't delete it after extracting. You can open up your old . DAT file, and run PN_AO.EXE from there. Don't forget that the PN_AO.EXE doesn't support all .DAT files—it only supports .USR files at this time, and some people have reported it working on the new ones.
